5 Harmful Effects of Drinking Soda

You have heard about this in the news, read about it in the newspapers! Every now and again, you swear that you will not drink soda again, but you seldom stick to your resolution. Here are the harmful effects of drinking soda that will hopefully make you reduce its consumption.

1. Damage to tooth enamel

Soda that seems so yummy, and that you happily guzzle whilst enjoying the fizzy feel of it, dissolves your tooth enamel slowly. So, the more soda you consume, the more your teeth decay. The decay eventually reaches the base, then the root, and then you have to have a procedure done. Why spoil your pretty face and that fabulous smile?

2. Reproduction Issues

There is a resin coating on the soda cans that contains chemicals that cause grave harm to the endocrine system. The result? Potentially premature puberty, and even reproductive abnormalities. Childbirth is such a nice phenomenon. You would not want it to go wrong now, would you?

3. Osteoporosis

Phosphoric acid that is present in soda has been associated with an increased risk of osteoporosis for it leads to bone breakdown. When phosphorus leaves our body in the form of urine, it takes calcium along with it. So, you enjoy soda now, but then use a stick to walk when you get old.
