Children are fond of chocolates, ice cream, cookies, cakes and various other sweet food items. No rules can stop them from having these foods. 1. Encourage your child to brush his/her teeth twice a day

You can be a role model for your child and brush your teeth twice a day with your child. This will motivate your child to follow this habit. You can brush with your kid once in the morning and once at night after having dinner.

2. Get the right toothbrush for your child

It is important to choose a good toothbrush for your child. You can buy a toothbrush having round and soft bristles. Such toothbrushes will be gently remove plaque and food particles from teeth without damaging the enamel or gums. You must choose the right sized toothpaste for your child. You can buy the one which is shaped like a cartoon character. You must replace the old toothbrush with a new one every three months.
