1. Do not starve yourself

Dieting doesn’t mean starving yourself. Skipping meals is the worst thing that you can do to sabotage your dieting plans. When your body doesn’t get regular food supply, the brain gets the signal that food is in short supply. So it starts stocking up on fats. Your metabolism becomes slow. All this adversely affects your weight loss plans.

2. Do not set unrealistic goals

You can’t lose 20 pounds in 20 days. So stop being unrealistic and face facts. Setting impractical goals will only lead to disappointment. You’ll end up frustrated. Consequently, you’ll eat much more because of stress and your dieting plans will go down the drains!

3. Do not eat while watching TV or talking on the phone

Take out time to eat. Do not eat while doing some other work. This way you always tend to over eat. Sit on a table and eat slowly. Enjoy your food. This way your brain realizes what you are eating and you don’t overeat.

4. Do not punish yourself

Dieting should be a positive experience. It’s a positive step taken by you to make your life better, hence the whole dieting thing should be viewed as something positive. Do not go around punishing yourself by critical self-analysis. Negative feelings and thoughts will demotivate you and are not good for your diet plans.
