7 Foods That Fight Cellulite

The appearance of cellulite on our body is not a pretty sight. Cellulite also has the ugly habit of showing up in really odd places. Places that we would like to show off, like out thighs and our arms when we wear sleeveless clothes. The problem with cellulite is that it is also very difficult to hide, that is, it is difficult to gloss it over with make –up. To begin with you would not want to wear makeup on your thighs and on your arms, and even if you do wind up wearing makeup, it is going to take a lot of time and also look a little odd. Since makeup is not really a great option, the only way to stay cellulite free is to follow a diet and eat foods that help fight cellulite. The other option is to cover up fully and forget about wearing those miniskirts and sleeveless blouses. Here is a list of foods that would help in fighting off cellulite.

1. Water

You cannot really bring in water under the food category, but since it is an essential part of our existence and our survival, it makes more sense to have it more. Water hydrates your skin well, it makes you feel full, washing away the excess toxins. You eat less, have a great skin and thus the visibility of cellulite would also be less.

2. Omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids

These fatty acids, essentially, omega 3 and omega 6 found in some fish and safflower and sunflower oils are said to reduce the appearance of cellulite. They also increase the health of the blood vessels. The important fact to note is that these need to be taken only in the natural form, that is, from foods.

3. Unsaturated Fats

Unsaturated fats can be found in nuts and avocados. Vegetable oils such as canola and olive also have unsaturated fats in them. Fish are also a great source of unsaturated fat. These improve the appearance of the skin and are generally healthy, thus reducing the formation of cellulite.

4. Lean protein

The benefits of eating foods with lean protein are that they have a really less fat content. And when you eat less fat, but feel full and also develop muscle mass, there is a lesser chance of cellulite forming. When you don’t have cellulite formation, there is also no reason to worry about it appearing anywhere.
