4. The truth about Rudolph’s red nose

Although Rudolph’s red nose is cute to look at and sing about, Norwegian scientists have come out with the theory that the res nose could have been caused by a parasitic infection in a reindeer’s respiratory system. Poor Rudolph must have had a bad cold too.

5. Reindeer and their hooves

Since Reindeer’s spend most of their time in the snow, they have specially designed hooves that prevent them from sinking in the snow. They make a distinct clicking sound as they walk in the snow.

Although reindeer’s are shown to fly while taking gifts, they don’t actually. They are however great swimmers and maybe help Santa take gifts across the rivers and the oceans.
Although Reindeer are not found around the world, they have become popular around the world as helpers to Santa. They are important to the whole story as Santa cannot move around freely without his sleigh.
