10 Things You Can Learn From Steve Jobs’ Life

10 Things You Can Learn From Steve Jobs' Life

Steve Jobs needs no introduction. He was the pioneer in the field of technology. Apart from that, he also evoked great passion in his speeches and interviews. So we have come up with a list of lessons that Steve Jobs has taught us throughout his short-spanned life.

1. Love what you do

This is the most important thing that Steve Jobs taught all of us. If you don’t love your work, there’s no chance that you can ever succeed in life. You have to be passionate about what you do in your life. Thus, we see that whatever Jobs did in his life was driven by passion and love towards his work.

2. Don’t live someone else’s life

This is as simple as living your life the way you want it. It’s about shaping your life around what’s important to you; your wishes, dreams, opinions, your family and work. But if you are constantly doing what others want you to do, in Steve Jobs’ words you will just be “trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking.”

3. Do something worthy and great

You should have the power, the drive to do something great. You are born with various abilities which you can use to your benefit. Don’t think what others would think if you do that or go there. Do something that will make people stand up and notice you.

4. Have full faith in what you do

If you’re among those people, who don’t believe in what they are doing, you are heading down the wrong path friends. Whatever work you do, you should believe in yourself and have immense faith in what you do. If you don’t believe in yourself, who will?

5. Design is more than veneer

Many people believe and think of design as ‘veneer’ – just an outer covering, a show. But Jobs believed it to be more than just that. He thought that “nothing could be further from the meaning of design. Design is the fundamental soul of a human-made creation that ends up expressing itself in successive outer layers of the product or service.”
