7 Things to Buy Before the Baby Arrives

So, you’re little bundle of joy is on its way. Moments of pleasure, apprehension, fear and pride all joy hands and wreak havoc in your mind. Every mother needs a checklist of things to do, buy and keep ready before the baby comes. So, here’s some things you need to have ready before your baby arrives. Make them ready well in advance to avoid last minute rushes and panic and bring your baby in happiness and comfort.

1. Car seat

Bring your baby home safely and comfortably nestled in a plush car seat. It could be cheap or expensive but make sure it is new. Investing in one that can double up even as the baby grows is worth it since you are going to be in need of one for a long time.

2. Baby cot

You could also get yourself a bassinet. Bassinets come in different types; whatever be your fancy, make sure they are strong and can hold your child safely for as long as you plan to put the baby there. Cots are bigger, stronger and can be used for a lot many years until your baby wants to explore other places of your home himself. Cots are where your baby can sleep and play. Check for loose screws, sturdiness of material, mattress and locking device so that it is baby-proofed suitably.

3. Stroller

You are bound to step out with your baby once you reach home. Your baby would love to enjoy the world around and the best and safest way of doing that is in a stroller. Again, there are different kinds of strollers, so make sure you get a sturdy model for safety. Strollers that are flexible on both footpath and supermarket aisles, can fit into a car boot and fold up easily are the ones worth investing in.

4. Bathing accessories

It’s always going to be fun during bathing time. Those delicate little fingers and fragile skin are a pleasure but must be properly cared for. Get your baby an appropriate bathtub, body wash, baby lotion, baby towels, washcloths, nail clippers and other accessories to take care of all messes the baby is likely to make.
