Are You Falling in Love with Your Best Friend?
Very often, you may have come across best friends marrying and settling down with each other or you could have been in such a situation yourself. While some are great advocates to this ordeal, some look at it with a great deal of suspicion lurking in their minds on the success of such a relationship. All said and done, the two who have been friends until then may start feeling a little difference in their outlook towards each other often not knowing how exactly to recognize or deal with it. If you find yourself in such an awkward position, watch out for a few signs to determine if you are really falling in love with your best friend.
1. Do you find yourself needing to call (most times) your bestie when he is not around? If you have answered ‘yes’ to this question, then there are chances that a different tone in friendship is beginning to settle. You may engage in conversations that are not necessarily carrying any meaning but yet love to do so and wait for every conversation longingly. A day without such casual conversations may seem incomplete.
2. You may have had pet names for your friend earlier but are these becoming more endearing and are you noticing a similar change from your friend? What began as “hey mate” could have transformed into “hey sweetie”, for instance. Although you are finding it awkward, you may be secretly adoring it.
3. Have friends started noticing yet? When you feel a special something for someone, it is obvious that body language begins to change inadvertently. The first people to notice such behavioral changes are most probably the ones with whom you hang out the most. They start to make comments that you pretend to ignore but silently enjoy them most of the time.
4. Pats and casual touches change to hand and arm intertwining. If you are looking forward to such gestures from your friend or want a solitary moment for yourselves, you are most probably taking your friendship to the next level.
