6 Habits that Cause Stress

4. Comparing successes to others

Many people are still in high school mentally and are always competitive when it comes to the lives of their peers. Since everyone knows what everyone is up to these days through increased networking and socializing, thanks to advancements in technologies, it sprouts jealousy and insecurity among many because they start comparing their lives’ successes to those of others. This makes people into workaholics and they feel fatigues, insecure and anxious, which are all signs of intense stress.

5. Controlling habit

The urge to control others’ lives is one of the major root causes of stress. People in higher positions be it professionally at the workplace, or personally in the family, tend to have a dominating nature wherein they believe they need to control what others under them are doing in their lives. This tendency to make others live like you want them to, makes people bitter and causes immense tension.

6. Procrastinating

Postponing things for a later date helps one rest at that time, however as the days go on and more and more work pile up on the to-do list; it becomes stressful to manage multiple stuffs at once. To avoid the last minute or deadline stress, do things as they come by. As they say, getting lazy in the present will make you go crazy in the future.
