4 Romantic Movies That You’d Rather Miss
Romantic movies are usually those that instantly make you feel good. There are happy endings, there are tragic love stories and there are romantic comedies. Each of these have their own charm and weave magic when they have a great storyline, amazing chemistry between actors and a tight screenplay. However, some of them fail to create that aura, irrespective of the many positives the movie may have. Those times, you wish they were never made in the first place. Listed below is a group of such romantic flops you’d rather miss.
1. I Love Trouble
Two legendary actors Julia Roberts and Nick Nolte star as rival reporters in this 1994 movie. A look at their chemistry leaves you feeling terrible. They do well for themselves on their own, instead of featuring together. They even found it hard to fake onscreen chemistry. Although the movie had a decent plot and a good screenplay, it had no element of romance or even affection that was evident between the two actors.
Sizzling chemistry between the leads Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez was expected onscreen. This was all the more so because of their intense off screen relationship. But sadly, the movie was a shoddy picturization of love between two individuals. The movie can conveniently be missed if you are expecting anything romantic out of it. Another classic example of two big stars but no love.
3. The Way We Were
Released in 1973 with Robert Redford and Barbara Streisand playing the leads, the movie is a romantic disaster. Both of them have given their exemplary performances in other movies individually but talk about romance, they seem to have done nothing about it in “The Way We Were”.
4. Rumor Has it
Kevin Costner and Jennifer Aniston star in this romantic comedy which has you in splits, not because of its dialogs but because of the storyline. Costner plays a lover boy with exceptional charm. He sleeps with Sandra’s mom, her grand mom and finally finds Sandra yielding to his irresistible charm herself. Sadly, his charm and the story does not appeal to the audience at large. Chuck this one, but check out some really good movies of Jennifer Aniston here.
Many romantic movies made in the Hollywood have had the mighty power to move the audience. There are several movies that stand testimony to this. Unfortunately, there is a bunch of others that are mere gimmicks. Not even a heavy star studded cast has been able to help the movie get to its feet. Such movies are worth a miss rather than experimenting to watch.
