Exercising will again get your blood circulating and make you feel energized. Take some short exercise breaks and do some push ups or just take a jog.

7. Indulge in something humorous

A good laugh is always good for the body. Read a joke or a comic strip or watch a funny video on YouTube. Laughter stimulates your mind and thus is good for staying awake.

8. Tickle the mouth cavity

Sounds weird? But it will help you stay awake so try it out. Just tickle the mouth cavity, preferably the top of your mouth cavity, with your tongue. The tickling sensation will surely keep you awake by the instant nerve jolt that it provides.

9. Grab a pen and start writing

Writing about your weekend’s plans will take your mind off sleep and also help you to stay awake. You could also write down your thoughts, create a diary or journal and keep contributing to it. This way you’ll have a hobby of sorts and spend time usefully too, without sleeping.

10. Sleep well

Last and definitely the most important way to stay awake is to sleep well and sleep regularly. If you sleep properly at night for about 7-8 hours, you won’t feel sleepy during the day.
