4 Homemade Exfoliators You can Try Out
There is a lot that you subject your skin to over the course of one day. To begin with, there are the various creams that you use, the makeup that you pile on every day, the pollution that you are exposed to, the dust and the other grime that sticks to your face if it is too oily. Just as you need to breathe easy for a while every day, your skin too needs to be able to breathe for a few hours every day. And the best way to get this done is by exfoliating your skin. Exfoliating or scrubbing your skin well before you go to sleep must be a regular part of your beauty regimen. This exfoliation helps remove any makeup that clogs up your pores and also makes your skin feel fresh and young. Exfoliation also prevents breakouts on the skin. The natural your exfoliator is, the better will your skin fare. The good news is that you can make some pretty awesome exfoliators right at home with the ingredients you would find at home. Here are some homemade exfoliators you can try out.
1. Sugar, coffee and lavender
Ground coffee and sugar, which are coarse, act as the scrub. They help remove all the impurities in your skin and also open up the pores, so the skin can breathe easy. The lavender helps soothe the skin after you have scrubbed it a lot. It takes only a few seconds to prepare and is a great exfoliator. It is better if you ground the coffee yourself as you can make it less or more coarse depending on your wish.

2. Organic cane sugar, lavender and lemon essential oils
Mix everything together and leave it on your face or body for a while. After a few minutes, gently rub your skin with your fingers. Keep rubbing it until it feels smooth. Wash it all away with plain water and you will notice that your skin not only feels smooth but you also feel fresh.

3. Oatmeal and yogurt
Mix oatmeal with yogurt and apply the mixture on your skin. Leave the paste on until it dries and your skin hurts when it stretches. Now splash some water and scrub vigorously. The oatmeal removes any residual oil and dirt on your face while the yogurt acts as a moisturizing agent. With this exfoliator, you needn't worry about your skin getting too dry after a scrubbing session.

4. Sugar, olive oil and kiwi
This is not only an exfoliator but is something that does wonders for your skin as well. The nutrients in kiwi and olive oil make your skin fresh and supple. They also make it healthy while the sugar does its job of clearing out the pores and getting rid of dust and grime or even makeup. If you use gloves and make sure nothing is contaminated, you can store this mixture in a jar or a small container and put in the fridge. This way you don’t have to make a new mixture every day.
