4. Walk regularly

Make sure that you go out for a morning as well as an evening walk every day. Do not stress yourself too much. Walk as long as it is comfortable for you. It will help in checking your blood glucose level.

5. Exercise

Do at least 30 minutes of light exercises every day. You don’t have to go for weight-lifting or other heavy exercises, as long as you’re keeping your body active. This way you ensure that your body does not get tired.

6. Travel plans

If you have plans of traveling, make sure you have the following things – supply of insulin, blood glucose testing kit, urine ketone testing strips, anti-diarrhea and anti-nausea pills, plenty of bottled water, and fast acting sugar for low blood glucose level. Also, before leaving, make sure that you get a medical check-up done and consult with your doctor if it is safe for you to travel. Keep a list of all your medicines, your home and doctor’s contact number with you at all times.
