6 Tips to Give Each Other Space in Your Relationship

A loving couple in a relationship would love stay in each other’s company and be as close to each other as possible. But there is a thin line between being close and being dependent on each other. Here are a few ways in which you can maintain a healthy distance in your relationship and give each other space.

1. Pursue different hobbies

If you think that you and your boyfriend are spending all your free time with each other, take up different hobbies. This will ensure that you stay busy in your respective activities and spend time away from each other to develop your own interests. This will help you and your boyfriend to hone your skills as you give each other some space in your relationship.

2. Hang out with your friends

Take some time out in the week when you can hang out with your friends and your boyfriend can hang out with his friends. Catching up with friends becomes more important when you are in a relationship because you may be spending lesser time with them as compared to when you were single. Recharge yourself in the company of your friends so that you can come smiling back to your boyfriend whenever you meet him next.

3. Leave each other alone occasionally

The need for space in a relationship doesn’t always require you to be physically away from your partner. Sometime you and your boyfriend may need space in the relationship just to lighten the emotional burden of your heart. There may be times when you don’t want to talk about something or want to be left alone. Even if you are physically together, try to spend some quiet time when you can do your own thing and your boyfriend can keep himself busy.
