5 Ways to Remove Hair Dye

Are you not comfortable with the color of your hair? Have you ended up dying with a wrong dye? Or is it that you want to go back to your original hair color? It is not very difficult to remove hair dye. With simple methods, you can get rid of the hair dye. Here are some ways to remove hair dye.

1. Use hot water every time you wash

All dyes wash up completely in 15 to 20 washes. Find out how long will it take for your dye to wash off from its cover. Every time you wash, use hot water and then finally rinse with tepid water. Condition your hair properly after wash so that they do not become brittle.

2. Use hot oil for semi-permanent hair dye

Wash your hair with hot water and shampoo of your choice and then do not dry your hair completely. In hot water, put coconut hair oil in a small container so that it gets hot. It should be hot enough to be applicable to your scalp. Now massage your hair with that oil and tie your head with a towel and let it be for at least an hour. Then wash your hair again with hot water and rinse it finally with cold water or normal water. Always use a conditioner after wash. Hot water and hot oil together help remove dye faster and in less number of washes.

3. Apply lemon juice

Citric acid is an excellent bleaching agent. Take a lemon and cut it in half. Squeeze the fresh juice in a bowl and massage your scalp with it. Apply the rest of the juice into the hair. Leave it for half an hour. Then wash your hair with warm and hot water alternatively. Do not scrub your scalp as it might burn. Use a good shampoo and conditioner to wash your hair.
