4. Give Time

Give time. To the relationship, so that it can develop and keep getting better day by day; and to each other, so you can genuinely understand each other as people and learn how to make the relationship work. If you lose hope in the middle, or quit making efforts, then there is no way that you will reach the fruitful end. You need to handle relationships with care and patience in order to make them work smoothly and properly. Always make it a point to consciously plan holidays between your hectic work schedules, and try to eat at least one meal together everyday.

5. Talk

When you don’t talk to each other or be vocal about your feelings because of either ego or fear of hurting someone, you are in a way restricting the process of getting a solution to the problem bothering the relationship. Always be polite in conversations and listen as much as you want to talk, and only then will you and your partner know both sides of the story and come to a mutually feasible conclusion.

Be grateful that you have found someone to spend your life with, while many others are still looking for that. You must understand that it’s not so much about the person you are spending your life with, but more importantly about how you are treating that person and your relationship with him.
