A positive body image is a sign of a person with a strong and powerful mind. The way you perceive your body is reflected in your attitude, body language, confidence, and your comfort level at being in the center stage. If you need to feel happy, confident and work effectively, your body image forms a very essential part of your self perception. If you don’t look at yourself with respect, it is unlikely that you will receive the same. Here are 5 tips to develop a positive body image.

1. There is no point brooding

If you’re not happy with your body, you need to lose weight and be in shape, rather than looking at the mirror and feeling bad for yourself. You need to take proactive steps by eating a balanced diet, working out or doing a sports activity.

2. Don’t deprive yourself

You might certainly have food cravings; some people like sugary snacks while some enjoy having fried savory. Curbing your cravings and love for food altogether is like punishing your body. The more you punish your body, the more you detest the way you look. You feel angry with yourself which develops the feeling that your body type is depriving you of the food you enjoy. Eat in moderation and have your favorite food once a week or in ten days.

3. Carry yourself well

If you need to understand your body well, you need to know what kind of clothes suit you. Women with heavy bust should preferably wear mono chromatic colors or very loose clothes. Get a lovely hair cut, wear nail paint and carry yourself well. It will certainly boost your confidence.
