Although it is women who are mostly affected by breast cancer and gender plays an important role, men can also be diagnosed with breast cancer. Breast cancer is not a single disease and there are many forms of breast cancer. Also a lump in the breast does not automatically mean that you have cancer of the breast. Although age is certainly one of the factors that plays a role in the heightened risks of breast cancer it is not the important cause. Here are some facts about how breast cancer does not depend on age.

There are the hereditary, genetic, habitual and environmental factors that increase your risk of getting breast cancer. You should definitely be careful if there is a family history of breast cancer and get yourself periodically checked.
