5 Quick Ways to Control Your Anger

Anger and danger go hand in hand and of course like any wise woman, you want to avoid danger. So it’s time to get rid of that anger. But how? A fight with boyfriend or best friend, argument with a colleague or boss, bad hair day or bloated tummy day – anything or everything can make you feel angry. But there are ways in which you can control your anger as well as your life. Do you want to know how? Well, here are some super and quicker ways to bust your anger.

1. Drink a glass of water slowly

Seems superbly simple? Yeah, but besides being very simple, this method is also very effective. So next time you start fuming and fretting and find yourself gripped by a wave of anger, just pour yourself a glass of water and drink it slowly, very slowly. Concentrate on each sip; imagine how the water is going down, from your lips and mouth, all the way to stomach. You’ll find yourself much calmer and composed.

2. Punch that anger away

A pillow or a soft cushion will help you greatly in becoming calm again. Let all your anger be directed at the pillow. Punch fast and get it over with. Within minutes you’ll find that anger melting away!

3. Imagine something really funny

Close your eyes and remember the face of the person you are angry at. Now visualize him in the funniest possible way – wearing a green pointed hat, big floral trousers, really weird shirt and hopping and dancing like a clown. The moment you imagine him/her in different funny situations, you’ll find yourself laughing and forgetting the anger.
