5 Best Recipes With Peanut Butter

The crunch of the peanuts and the smoothness of the paste is a perfect combination resulting in a burst of flavors in one’s mouth. Originally native to America, peanut butter is now popular as a breakfast must-have across the globe. Early forms of peanut butter just meant pure roasted peanut paste. However it was hard to work with and spread and also less creamy & sweet, resulting in the birth of peanut butter in its current form. It is so versatile and easy to use that it can be blended into just about anything. Here are 5 recipes with peanut butter which you will love to try out.

1. Cookies

If you think there is nothing like a chocolate chip cookie with cold milk, you are yet to try a peanut butter cookie. The sweet and salty combo is a treat for the senses and is also a good snack option instead of other oily snacks such as nachos or chips.

Procedure:
Beat butter and sugar with hand mixer till fluffy. Then add the peanut butter. Add eggs and vanilla extract and beat till it is mixed well. In a separate bowl, sift the flour, baking soda and salt together. Mix the dry ingredient gradually and incorporate into the peanut butter mixture. Add some chopped peanuts for that crunch. Bake them at 300 to 350 F for 10 to 12 minutes or till the edges are brown.

2. Punch

The first thing that comes to your mind when you say Punch is fruit punch. But have you ever tried to give the traditional punch a skip and try something new? Make a peanut butter punch that is great for parties, plus a good way to make your child drink that glass of milk.

Procedure:
Blend some milk, peanut butter, vanilla or chocolate flavor, sugar (optional) if you have a sweet tooth. Try and add some banana for a more filling drink. Sprinkle some chocolate flakes and powdered cinnamon/nutmeg before serving.

3. Mud Cake

The feeling of cutting a mud cake and eating the moist chocolaty mixture is heavenly. Combined with ingredients such as almonds, cashew and peanut butter can only raise the bar.

Add eggs and vanilla essence and also mix the dry ingredient. Mix well so that the mixture doesn’t have lumps. Bake them at 300 to 350 F for 20 to 25 minutes. Once out of the oven, sprinkle some chopped peanuts and let it cool. Once cool, cut into squares and serve.
