Top 4 Side Effects of Laser Hair Removal

3. Varying results

As in the case of many cosmetic procedures, the result of laser hair removal varies from person to person. The thickness of hair, type of hair growth, general sensitivity of skin are few important factors which determine the results. In few cases, the skin color of the person opting for laser hair removal also determines the side effects, although it is generally safe for all types of skin colors. For example, dark skinned people may get slightly lighter skin from overall skin shade, in the treated patch of skin, due to reduced melanin in the area. Although temporary, the procedure may lead to permanent lightening, in rare cases.

4. Skin burns

If performed by an inexperienced technician, devoid of proper knowledge of laser type & setting, the person may end up getting skin burns. Also, the skin gel used before the procedure may cause allergy, in some cases.

Laser hair removals mostly fetch desired results, but permanent hair removal cannot be guaranteed always by this expensive method.
