The Jungle Book is a collection of stories and tales of a boy named Mowgli, who is raised in an Indian Jungle by wolves. The story revolves around him and his friends that include a bear, a panther and monkeys, who together fight a royal Bengal tiger. 5. Heidi by Johanna Spyri

Another beautiful story to read is that of Heidi’s – a girl raised in the countryside of Switzerland by her aunt Dete after her parents’ death. This book was written by a Swiss author Johanna Spyri, in the year 1880. It became extremely famous, and was a favorite amongst young girls who dreamt of living a life like Heidi. This book was adapted into many films, TV series and cartoons.
