Many celebrities have fantastic lives. They bask in the glory that their profession presents them. Even you become so attached to some of them that you never want them to stop seeing them in movies and shows. But as always, fate has different plans for everyone. Some celebrities unfortunately depart this world quite soon. Let’s have a look at those celebs who died early.
1. Bruce Lee
Unarguably the best martial arts performer history has ever seen, Bruce Lee was a Chinese American born in California. He was a multi-talented man as he was not only a martial arts instructor but also an actor, film director, producer, screenwriter and also a philosopher. But in 1973, he was diagnosed with cerebral edema in which excessive water accumulates in the brain. At the young age of 32, Bruce Lee died in his sleep and the reason was that his brain had swollen a lot.

2. Marilyn Monroe
Popularly referred to as a cultural and pop icon, Marilyn Monroe had a fantastic career before falling into the line of drugs. She was 20 when she started acting in films, but only got minor or stereotypical roles. But later on, she got critical acclaim for her role in the movie Bus Stop. She died due to an overdose of drugs and was found dead in her home in Los Angeles.

3. Heath Ledger
Who can ever forget his stupendous performance as the 'Joker' in 'The Dark Knight'? Heath Ledger was born in Australia and later moved to the United States. He had acted in 19 films some of which are '10 Things I Hate About You', 'The Patriot' and 'The Brokeback Mountain' and hoped to be a film director. But, unfortunately he died due to an abuse of prescription medications which he had started as he was unable to sleep. He died when he was 28.

4. Brittany Murphy
She was well known as an actor and singer and trained in both these fields since the tender age of 4. Born in Georgia, she later moved to California with her mother to pursue her acting career. She was married to British songwriter Simon Monjack for three and a half years. In December 2009, she was found collapsed in her bathroom and was declared dead when taken to the hospital. Doctors concluded that an overdose of prescription medications and over-the-counter medicines were the cause of her death.

5. Michael Jackson
There are no words to describe the star and legend that Michael Jackson was. He resided in the hearts of millions of his fans around the world and his death came as a shock to them and the world alike. He started his singing career with his brothers and then went on to sing solo. After that, there was no looking back for him. He died in his bed in June 2009 and efforts to resuscitate him were in vain.

6. Selena Quintanilla-Perez
Selena was the only female Mexican American singer in a male dominated genre and was thus criticized. She released her first album when she was 12. But Selena's fan club president and manager of her clothing boutiques Saldívar shot her in a fit of rage when Selena was just 23.

7. Princess Diana
Princess Diana's life was marred with media scrutiny throughout her married life to Prince Charles and even before she got married to him. She was a renowned world figure and millions looked up to her and her kind deeds, in the form of charity work. Almost a year after her divorce, she was killed in a car accident due to the insistent paparazzi and also the negligent driving of the driver. Her death was mourned all around the world.

8. Amy Winehouse
Just like other celebs who died too early, Amy Winehouse's death also was shocking for the world. She inspired many female singers and gave a new flavor to British music altogether and her unique fashion sense was also an inspiration for many. Her music was a fantastic mix of genres like R&B;, Jazz and Soul. After some years of success and fame, she died due to an overdose of drugs a few months back.
