Apart from that, various celebrity interviews, book clubs, philanthropic events and self-improvement methods were showcased on her show in an attempt to spiritually uplift viewers. This show highly influenced most of the people who watched it. Any book recommended on the show became the next bestseller. Similarly, any industry criticized by Oprah had to prepare itself to face financial hazards once the show was aired. It is regarded as one of the highest-rated shows of its type ever made in history.

2. F.R.I.E.N.D.S

This daily sitcom was first aired on September 22, 1994. Little did anyone expect that the show would actually run for 10 whole years! Even after 10 years of the show, the thirst of viewers to watch the show has never worn at all. The plot of the show revolves around six friends who are room mates. Apart from the six of them, the show also has a number of outsiders playing guest appearances. The best part of this show was that throughout the show, equal importance was given to each of the six characters. Apart from making people laugh with their hilarious dialogues and the way they delivered it, each of the characters almost became a part of the lives of the many viewers who religiously watched the show for all the 10 years. People still love each of them and are more than ready to watch the same show over and over again.

The Simpsons is a sitcom that you can watch almost everyday, and not get even a little bored of it. The show is a satiric description of an ideal working-class American family. The sarcastic humor used throughout this sitcom is more than enough to have you in splits even on your worst days. The hilarious relationship between the father and son, Homer and Bart Simpson is one of the most unforgettable facets of this show. This show, in fact, is the longest-running sitcom in America and also the longest running American program, and has been running for about a good whole of 22 years. Many adult based animated shows have been made after being influenced by The Simpsons. Yet none of them have been able to replace it. This show is surely going down in history!
