6 Tips for Safe Internet Banking

4. Beware of phishing emails

These emails look similar to the ones sent by your bank and can be devised in a way that you will give out your sensitive details. You need to be aware of this and call the bank immediately if you think you have made a mistake.

5. Do not download your e-statements onto another computer and leave it there

If you are downloading your e-statements, always do it in your personal computer or device. Do not download it onto another computer. If for some reason you have to do it delete it immediately and also clear it out from the recycle bin.

6. Do not share your account information with everyone

Make sure you do not share your account information with everyone. It is not only the username and password you have to be careful about but also your account number. If you are using an account to receive funds, make sure it is different from your private account.

Staying safe while banking online and sticking to the rules framed by your bank can save you a lot of mental and financial trouble in the future. Online banking is easy and it is up to you to keep it safe too.
