10 Tips to Get a Flat Belly
A big belly can often lead to mental trauma and feeling of embarrassment in front of others. Staying fit is necessary not just for good looks or appearance but also to avoid ailments. Excess fat and obesity can lead to many issues in the long run. However, it isn’t so hard to get rid of your tummy fat, if you inculcate healthy habits like daily exercise and include a good diet. Here are a few tips to get a flat belly.
1. Focus on your diet
If you wish to get rid of stomach flab, you have to pay attention to what you are eating. Lemons, onions and cucumber with salt sprinkled on them, carrots and oat meals are all beneficial. Spinach and broccoli should be included at least 3 - 4 times every week in your diet. Opt for whole wheat bread instead of white bread. Blueberries and other fruits should also be consumed more often.
2. Avoid junk food
Junk food should be avoided at all costs. More than 500 calories are added to your body due to every 100gm of junk food that you consume. Cheese based puffs for example, add more than 1200 calories to your body. Candy bars can contribute about 250 calories. The count is also quite high for other foodstuffs such as fried foods and processed meat. So, if you wish to get rid of the fat, avoid fatty foods.
3. Jog in the morning
Not only does jogging keep you fresh, it also helps you lose calories. You will also build leg muscles as you run regularly. This process consumes more calories so you can easily burn a substantial amount of calories by jogging in the morning. Alternate walking and sprinting is also another way of doing it. You just have to make sure your body doesn’t get used to the exercise as that reduces the effectiveness.
4. Go cycling
Cycling on a regular basis is a great substitute for jogging especially if there are uphill routes that lead you to scenic views. Not only do you lose weight, cycling amid nature will enhance blood circulation and improved digestion.
5. Practice push-ups
Push-ups are one of the most popular free-hand exercises performed by people. They help you get a flatter stomach. Push-ups also work many other muscles in the body, whether it is your biceps, shoulders or leg muscles. Although it is hard to keep your hands apart, body, back and knees straight and lift yourself up after touching the ground, you have to start doing one or two and then slowly build on it. With time you will find that you are able to do more than a dozen push-ups at one go.
