Top 10 New Year Resolutions for 2015

6. Learn to play a musical instrument

Music connects us all. You will meet hundreds of people sharing this resolution with you, who would love to learn guitars or drums or any musical instrument. But, most of them lack the true drive and passion that is the primary need to enjoy the learning phase. And although you might think you have that drive, unless you are really dedicated and focused to learn, think again. Choose an instrument that you think you will be good at, considering all the factors that you can. For example, a person with respiratory problems should avoid playing flute and trumpet, and instead choose a guitar or keyboard. But once you begin to learn, you need to show sincere efforts and dedication towards it. Nothing comes easy, certainly no talent.

7. Get in to a relationship

Looking for someone to make you feel special? Now, this resolution is the easiest to get done with and also the most uncertain one, obviously depending on what you are looking for. As getting in to a relationship involves two individuals, and unless you know someone who shares this resolution with you, you really need to be quite social and optimistic throughout the year. One important thing to keep in mind however, is that do not indulge in any kind of relationship just to get in to one. Stay calm, positive and kind when interacting with others. If you have had a series of unsuccessful affairs before, analyze the reasons for their failures, do not go in much details though. Do not over think about this one and it will certainly happen. Don’t forget to be yourself.

8. Learn a new language

Wish to enhance your language skills? Nothing helps like learning a new language. But the choice of language to learn will surely differ with your reasons to learn one. Take some time before you decide your language of interest. This way the process of learning will be a rather enjoyable experience for you. Make a choice considering your career options and future plans. Learning a new language each year may sound easy and confidence boosting, but every language needs constant practice and exchange of words. So keep up with that. Also make it a point to read a book or novella which will keep you interested and updated with that language.

9. Control your temper

Losing your friends because of your uncontrollable temper? Make it a resolution then to control your temper. Learn to guide your boiling emotions of fury, simply because there is no glory on the angry lanes. Anger brings no good, never has and never will. The only thing that comes with it is a rise in your blood pressure and lows in your life. Learn to control your temper, and although you must have tried to do so many a times before, try it one more time. May be you lacked a strong drive or a proper reason. However, the point is, if you really love yourself or care for the ones you love, it is only wise to let go of your burning temper. Develop an attitude to turn inert, even when provoked. Share your resolution with everyone around, this way even they can help you get over your troubling temper.

10. Keep up with your resolutions

Out of all the above mentioned ones, you have to agree that this one is the most important. And not because it will help you in life in any way, but only because, if broken, it will cost you many a things in the long run. The purpose of every resolution is to bring about a change, a good change, an improvement of some manner. But many, in fact most, often fail to walk the new ways and end up breaking their new year resolutions, only to make a new start with their old habits. It is important to understand, every resolution is like a stand that you take against something imperfect about you, and a successful completion of any resolution is solely beneficial to you and you alone. And if you are a rather sentimental person, remember, a resolution is like a promise you make, not to anyone else, but yourself.
