7 Tips to Get Your Kids Active

Adolescence is the age of learning and enjoying life in true sense. Kids are energetic and enthusiastic at this stage but sometimes the habit of watching cartoons on TV or playing video games makes them lazy. If you are facing the same challenge of how to divert your kid’s eyes off the television sets and make them active, then the following points should be kept in mind. Remember if you want to make your child learn things fast, then you need to keep him/her active. Here are some tips.

1. Spend time playing with them

To make your kid energetic, one needs to take care of the child’s physical exercise. Kids usually don’t prefer exercising as they feel it is monotonous. So it would be good for the parents to make him/her exercise through means of games. Play games with them so that the exercise part gets covered. This way they will not even come to know and the fitness session will also be accomplished successfully. Half an hour exercise would be enough for a day.

2. Cycle or walk from school to home

If the school of your child is in a radius of 500 meter or 0.6 miles then avoid vehicles. You need to take the initiative and bring your child back home on foot. Once he is habituated to this and learns the route, then he/she can come on their own.

3. Enroll in extracurricular activity classes

Register your kid in any extracurricular classes which your child likes and this way your kid will learn something in addition to studies. This will lessen your burden from your child’s fitness as exercise will be done through these practices. Activities that can be learnt are swimming, dancing, skating, etc.
