5 Tips for Listening to Your Intuition

Listening to your intuition means tapping into your inner thoughts and using them to channelize your energy in the right direction, making life altering decisions and trusting your actions. You may or may not believe in a super power or higher order but you need to understand that being able to conduct yourself in society requires you to listen to your intuition and make the right choices. Here are 5 tips to listen to your intuition.

1. Turn down the physical noise

We don’t hear our own thoughts because we are deeply immersed in the physical noise. Stereo, television shows, movies, endless conversations, music emanating from your iPod or laptop is a lot of noise that we hear every day. How are you going to listen to your intuition when you don’t turn off the sound and give yourself a chance to have a dialogue with yourself?

2. Spend time alone with nature

Nature is a mirror of your primal self where you can stare into the face of sorrow, joy, failure and discomfort in the same measure. It helps you realize your strength and distinguish between right and wrong which is nature’s gift bestowed to human kind.

3. Don’t use petty means of distraction to douse your pain

Pain isn’t like chalk mark on the blackboard; you can’t just erase it. The best way to listen to your intuition is to face your fear and pain and not disguise them under petty distraction. Listening to music is surely relaxing but what you need is to ponder over what went wrong. You will listen more clearly than you ever did.

4. Practice meditation

Meditation camps can gear you towards listening to your inner thoughts. It helps you be more focused, connect with yourself and confront your pain and agitation. You are better equipped to deal with yourself.

5. Follow your gut

Believe that people have a certain vibe around them. Events and locations have an unfathomable aura around them which you can’t explain. If you don’t feel right about something, don’t be afraid to look the other way. You may be wrong but it is a step to listen to your gut feeling.
