4. Do not smoke after your meals

It does feel good to smoke after a meal, when it makes you feel lighter. Smoking is bad anytime of the day and increases your risk of cancer, but if you are already suffering from irritable bowel syndrome and stomach ulcers or colitis, you should stay away from cigarettes after you have eaten. Smoking just exacerbates the problem.

5. Do not have a bath after you have eaten

Digestion requires a lot of energy and blood flow to your stomach. But when you are having a bath, blood flow is directed to your feet and arms. Having a bath soon after you have eaten increases the chances of indigestion and you will feel full and uncomfortable for a long time afterwards.
