7 Things You Didn't Know about Dogs

Many of you may have pet dogs. You treat them like your family members, take them for a walk, play and cuddle them, feed them, etc. They guard you and your home. You give them the same love and affection as you give to your close ones. In spite of all this there a several things you may not know about dogs. Few are listed below:

1. Nose Prints

Nose print of a dog is as unique as a humans finger print. It can be used to identify them. So next time your dog runs away or you lose him, keep a nose print handy.

2. Vision

Dogs do not see as far as humans do but their night vision is better. They are able to detect motion and sight objects much better than humans during night hours.

3. Temperatures

Body temperature of dogs are much higher than human body temperatures. They have sweat glands only in their foot pads. As a result, they don’t perspire. Thus, when kept in closed rooms or cars or on very hot days, their body temperature seem warmer than usual.

4. Sound and Smell

A dog’s sense of smell is said to be very sensitive as compared to those of human beings. Also, they can hear sounds from much longer distances. They can also identify the direction from where the sound originates.
