If your skin is oily, it means that your sebaceous glands are too active. This also will lead to clogged pores and skin conditions like blackheads and spots. We give you a list of things that you can keep in mind while taking care of your oily skin.

1. Avoid scrubbing

Scrubbing could prove too harsh for your skin. It could also cause irritation and exacerbate acne.

2. Moisturize

This may sound odd but oily skin can become dry and needs moisturizing as well. If oily skin becomes dry it can lead to additional oil production. Go for a moisturizer that is oil-free and light.

3. Avoid frequent washes

Washing your face twice a day is enough to get rid of the oil build up and dirt. If you wash more than that, it could stimulate extra oil production. Also, avoid using cold water and opt for warm water to wash your face.

4. Your diet

What you eat has a direct effect on your skin. If you have an oily skin take a diet rich in proteins, vitamins B5 and B2, green leafy vegetables, and fresh fruit. Also, a good intake of water helps in flushing out the toxins. Restrict your intake of sugar, salt, junk food, and unhealthy fats.
