6 Symptoms of UTI in Women

4. Color changes or foul-smelling urine

Healthy urine will always be pale yellowish in color. If your urine changes its color from dark yellow to brown or cloudy, you might have a bladder infection. Bloody urine is the prominent symptom of a major bladder infection.

5. Frequent trips to the bathroom

There will be an urge to go to bathroom at frequent intervals if you have urinary tract infection. There will be very less urine or sometimes no urine to pass, but still the feeling persists.

6. Fever or chill

The immune system’s natural response to prevent the infection is in the form of fever. So generally when there is UTI, you will have fever accompanied with chills and sweats. But if you suffer from high fever, bring it to the notice of your doctor immediately. Generally, older people will not have fever, as their immune system becomes weak with age.

Understand all the symptoms of UTI earlier and seek treatment immediately for a fast recovery. Drink plenty of water, keep your genital area clean and avoid holding your urine for long in the bladder to prevent urinary tract infection.
