Should You Go Vegetarian To Lose Weight?

“Well, you can check for yourself, Bella. Sally, that converted vegetarian friend of mine, has not only lost weight but has become considerably leaner too. Of course, she coupled her diet with regular exercise. Eating vegetables alone doesn’t do miracles. Isn’t that great?”, Hannah said, excited. “Yes Hannah, that’s true. Even I’ve heard that vegetarian diets lead to a great reduction in the body frame because of the lesser number of calories taken in per portion, as compared to meat eaters. It is said that plant proteins are filling, yet lesser heavy and dense on the system”, Bella confirmed.

“So, what have you finally decided to do?”, Hannah asked. “Turning veggie to lose weight or not?” she added. “I don’t know Han. I don’t think I’ll become a complete convert yet, but I’ll start keeping aside certain days of the week when I can have pure vegetarian diets. That way I can have my chicken too and still lose weight with veggies”, Bella said. “That’s not a bad idea. At the end of the day, whether you are vegetarian or not, losing weight really depends on your lifestyle, your exercise routines and your genetic structure. Maintaining a balance is the key “, confirmed Hannah.

Although our personal choices are inclined more towards meat, seafood and related stuff, since we’re habituated to it for such a long time, we do see a point in taking the best of both worlds. What do you think?
