Eight Reasons Why We Want 'Friends' To Come On TV Again

“I practically grew up watching ‘Friends'”, a statement made by a proud 25-year old. Aired for almost 10 years, hardly any other show has managed to keep up to it and match its charm and witty humor. We’re sure there must have been hardly anyone with a dry eye after watching the last episode of ‘Friends’. That show practically taught us so many lessons of life, the best of it being friendship. There are so many things that we miss about the show. And even if we watch it over and over again, we just can’t seem to get enough of it. So why do we want ‘Friends’ to come again on TV? Check out these reasons.

1. We are so used to waking up every morning to Joey saying, “How you doing?”

Joey Tribbiani was most known for his catchphrase, “How you doing?” So many of us have tried this out over and over again. Yet, nobody will be able to say it the way he would. Surely Joey won so many hearts in those few years of ‘Friends’ which even Hollywood heroes who work hard to win are unable to. His character ‘Joey’ was so popular that it emerged as an independent series during the final season of ‘Friends’. One of the best scenes of Joey would be the time he went to get his eye brows shaped!

2. Food is tasteless without Monica’s special preparation of delicacies

She was rightly called the ‘Mother Hen’ of the group. And although Ross was older to her, many of us thought that she was the older sibling, thanks to her nurturing nature. Her obsessive and competitive personality never failed to crack any of us up. She was a person who would use labels for almost everything, right from pictures to dishes. A chef by profession, Monica taught us how to love the job that you’re doing. As for her, she was so passionate about cooking that even when she was at home she would cook different delicacies for her friends.

3. Partying is no fun without listening to Phoebe’s ‘Smelly Cat’

The best thing about Phoebe was her musical ability. She loved singing and she would sing these rhyming songs at a local cafe. Some of the hilarious songs that Phoebe would sing were, “The Grandma Song”, “Sue, Sue, Suicide”, ” Sticky Shoes” and “Bisexuals”. But the most notable of the lot was, “Smelly Cat”. It was one of her favorite songs. She taught us how a person can stay happy with humor. Even though she had a hard life, she never failed to bring a smile on someone else’s face through her silly one-liners. At the end of the day, she too met her happy ending as she finally found true friends who loved her for the person that she was.

4. We all want to see Ross getting married yet again

Ross was known mostly for his three divorces and two kids. He was also known to be bullied very easily. One such example would be the time when he was bullied and robbed of his science journal as a child by Phoebe. Apart from this, Ross was specially loved for his geeky and sensitive nature. In spite of having three divorces, throughout the seasons, we saw that Ross fell truly in love with only one of them, Rachel Green. However, more or less, he always found himself confused about his feelings. But when he finally realized that Rachel was his soul mate, he did everything to let her know about his feelings.
