10 Reasons Why Living on Your Own is the Best Thing in the World

6. You control the TV remote

Nobody will be there to change the channels behind your back, and nobody to fight with on what to watch. You can angle the TV however you want, based on your position on the couch, and can watch whatever you want at any hour, without worrying about either the volume, or the content!

7. You can own a pet

Parents or siblings often don’t appreciate the presence of a pet in the house, but when you live on your own, you can totally own a pet of your choice without worrying that someone else might get an allergy by cat fur, or will get scared with dog barks!

8. Your guests can come in anytime

You can walk in the house or out of it with anybody you like. You have enough space to protect your private life, and your guests too can stay in the house or walk in and walk out based on how you like it. There is nobody to set rules and regulations other than you yourself.

9. You can clean the house at your own pace

You can clean the house and go about doing household chores at your own pace. There is nobody to complain when a particular kind of cereal runs out, because you can manage with the other variety too. Similarly, if you don’t need that music system right now, then you can get it repaired later when you have the time, and there’s no hurry for it.

10. You can decorate the house as per your taste

You can put picture frames, scented candles, quirky cushion covers and a lot more as per your choice, without having to compromise always in terms of ‘functionality’, ‘utility’ or ‘taste’. Nobody will judge you for what you do, and you can do whatever keeps you happy.

Of course, there are a lot of other reasons as well why living on your own is an awesome thing. Only when you start living alone will you realize how much enjoyment and bliss such an experience brings along with it. More than that, it will definitely help you to grow up and mature as a person, and you’ll become more responsible and independent.
