Yet another Angelina Jolie film, out for release somewhere around Christmas! However if she doesn’t act in this one, she is directing it! ‘Unbroken’ is a chronicle of the real life of Louis Zamperini, an Olympic runner who was captured as a prisoner by the Japanese forces during the Second World War. The film stars Jack O’Connell, Garrett Hedlund, and Domhnall Gleeson. If you like movies based on true lives, this movie is sure to live up to your expectations.

7. Laggies

Laggies is the next one on the list of upcoming movies. Its genre is dark comedy drama and it promises awesome performances by its entire team. It is directed by Lynn Shelton and written by Andrea Seigel. Beautiful and graceful actors, Chloë Grace Moretz of ‘Carrie’ fame and Keira Knightley from ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’, star as the main characters. The film revolves around Keira Knightley, who is stuck in permanent adolescence. She lies to her fiancé about going on a retreat and instead spends the time hanging out with a 16-year old prostitute.

8. Serena

‘Serena’ is based on the eponymous 2008 novel by author, Ron Rash. Set in North Carolina, the movies revolves around the future of George Pemberton’s timber empire during the Depression era. Complications arise when he comes to know his wife, Serena, will not be able to conceive a child. This movie stars, Jennifer Lawrence as Serena and Bradley Cooper as George Pemberton. This ‘American Hustle’ actress reunites with two-time co-star Bradley Cooper for this movie. The film thus, revolves around the newly-weds coping with their failing business and infertility.

9. The Voices

‘The Voices’ is described as a genre mix of a wild, horror and occasionally humorous film. It also promises a terrific performance by Ryan Reynolds. It tells us a story of a mentally unsound man who discontinues his medication. As a result, he finds himself hallucinating about a cat telling him to be a serial killer, while a dog who convinces him otherwise. Apart from Ryan Reynolds, the film also stars Anna Kendrick, Gemma Arterton, Jacki Weaver and Gulliver McGrath.

10. Wild

Wild, a biography and drama film, narrates the chronicle of a woman who after going through a catastrophe in her personal life decides to take a 1100 mile hike all by her self. This film has Reese Witherspoon making her comeback after ‘Walk The Line’. ‘Wild’ is a woman empowering film and is surely going to be highly awaited for this year.
