Diet colas are widely drunk by most of the Americans. Diet sodas do not contribute to health improvement. It is just a mixture of artificial sweeteners and chemicals. Regular intake of these sodas will develop health problems like type 2 diabetes. A diet drink consumed every day can shoot up obesity rate up to 41%.

Metabolic syndrome may lead to stroke, diabetes, and heart disease. Studies have also proved that the effect of metabolic syndrome is 34% higher among the people who take diet sodas when compared with those who drank none.
