How to Resolve Conflicts In the Workplace?

4. Consider and reciprocate

Consider the other person’s point of view. Reciprocate his/her feelings. Think about the situation from his/her point of view too. Understand each other and solve the conflict.

5. Think about the consequences

The consequences after a serious conflict can turn out to be very bad. Think about them beforehand. Also let the other person realize what consequences everyone has to face if the conflict turns worse. That might help lighten the situation.

6. Request

If all else fails, request the person to let it go. If the other person is a dogmatic and a very rude person, it is best to request and solve the conflict rather than arguing or debating.

These might be a few tips to resolve conflict at work. But what works best is preventing rather than trying to solve a conflict. Listen to everyone’s suggestions and point of view. Present yours. Accept criticism in a proper way and react to it positively. When a debate arises, solve it then and there. Don’t stretch the argument. Be an understanding and pleasant person at work.
