5 DIY Jewelry Ideas

4. DIY chain bracelets

A very simple but great way to use materials like colored wool, thread, chains, etc., to create bracelets. Take a thick silver or gold chain; pick a color of your choice of ribbon or threads. Tie a knot at one end of the chain with the thread and then start knotting it down, intertwining it simultaneously with the chain. You could do variations by adding more chains or more color threads. To further enhance it you could use beads too. Tie a knot at the other end once it’s complete and try to put a hook to close it.

5. DIY bobby pin jewelry

You heard it right! Bobby pins can be a great idea for jewelry of all sorts. Take some of your bobby pins and paint them in a rainbow of colors. You can use oil paints, nail paint, glitter to jazz up those pins. Then simply slip them on some bendable wire to make your own set of earrings. You can even use your colorful bobby pins to make necklaces or bracelets. You needn’t stick to using bendable wire, you can mix it up using thin fabric or even stylized paper designs a la origami jewelry style.
