1. Glastonbury Festival
The Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts, commonly known as Glastonbury Festival, is one of the biggest arts festivals in the world. It is mainly a British festival and takes place in south west England. The genres of music usually played here are Rock, World, Electronic, Reggae, Folk, Hip Hop and Dance. This elaborate festival since 1970 has featured several leading pop and rock artists over the years. Mostly dominated by music, this festival also includes dance, theater, comedy, circus, cabaret and other such arts. The festival is held over three or four days in open air, with performers, crew and paying festival goers staying in tents, caravans and motorhomes. The best part about this festival is that it is a fund raising festival for noble causes.

The Summerfest also known as the "The Big Gig", is celebrated in USA. This fest is 11 days long and is made up of 11 stages. The sheer number of performers is unbelievably phenomenal. It has performances from over 700 bands. It takes place annually in late June and early July. This fest is so huge that it has been give the tag of the 'World's Biggest Music Festival', by the The Guinness Book of World Records. Apart from the live musical concerts, this fiesta also gives visitors a chance to sample a wide variety of food from many Milwaukee-area restaurants. The other attractions are comedy acts, shopping vendors, fireworks, family activities and more.

3. Vancouver Island Music Fest
Sunny skies and beautiful music are the trademarks of the Vancouver Island Music Fest. It is a three-day celebration of diversity and wonderful music taking place on the breathtaking Comox Valley every year. With performances by world-class artist like Arlo Guthrie, Jane Bunnett, Los Lobos and Steven Page, the Vancouver Island Music Fest is every music-lover's paradise. What can be better than relaxing on the banks of the beautiful Tsolum River and soaking yourself into lovely music?

4. The Bamboozle
This musical fiesta had its beginnings in 2005. Within a couple of years, this festival has gained more popularity than expected. It is a two-day musical festival held every year in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The significant part about The Bamboozle fest are the characters created. Every year The Bamboozle creates different characters as a part of the festival planning. Some of these characters created are real people who're given fake identities. They plan and operate the festival. The other characters are completely fictional. They are created to give people signs as to who will be playing at the concert. This grand event features popular music artists like Lil Wayne, Bruno Mars, Plain White T's and Taking Back Sunday.

5. Rainforest World Music Festival
The Rainforest World Music Festival taking place in Sarawak, Malaysia is one of the most beautiful musical festivals. This musical celebration takes place around the first week of July. Every year tons of music lovers from across the globe flock to the Land of the Hornbills to create a unique fusion of music, rich in diversity. Few music concerts give the audience an opportunity to dance in the rainforest while listening to the music. The Rainforest World Music Festival is a blessing you certainly don't want to miss out on.
