Become A Better Parent By Not Purchasing Expensive Toys For Your Child

These are few tips you can use to enhance your parent-child bonding.

  1. Infant age: The process of developing a good parent-child relationship starts when children are young. We can start connecting with the newborn. They too understand our language. Bath time and feeding time can be fun activities as are peek-a-boo and making faces for the little ones. Come toddler age, going for strolls, playing on the floor and looking at picture books can be entertaining.
  2. Pre school age: Running around outside, walking to the playground or visiting the library, splashing in the pool and mud games can be fun activities. Kids can also enjoy poem reading, drawing, coloring, dancing on any music and so on.
  3. School age: Playing sports, going cycling together, etc can be very entertaining.
  4. Teenager: As parents spend considerable quality time, the attachment with parents becomes quite strong. The activities which can be done together when your son/daughter becomes a teen may include doing any school project together, talking about life, watching a show together, exercising, and listening to music together.
  5. Always try eating one meal together as a family. This provides opportunity to stay connected and discuss how things are going in your child’s life. Parents who concentrate on developing a good relationship with their kids through spending time, not money, tend to have kids with better self-esteem. These kids learn that they are valuable and so their parents spend so much time with them. They also learn that it is the relationship that matters, not the purchases.
