Are Men And Women Equal. What Do You Think?

Armed with a notepad, we walked out on a mission to find people who had strong and clear views about the thought ‘Are men and women equal’? After all, who better to ask than the average man and woman on the street? We always believed that we lived in a modern world in which people had a renewed and educated outlook towards life. Find out how wrong we were when we popped the question to innocent bystanders in a crowded downtown. Are men and women equal?

1. Man-woman issue is a thing of the past

Yes, said Annie, 36, working for a real estate agent. “It is terrible to think that questions like these are thrown around every day. The ‘man-woman’ issue is a thing of the past and women are now a part of almost every workforce, government and organizations that cater to the daily working life of America,” she said firmly. “So, I think the question whether men and women are equal shouldn’t be asked anymore,” she added.

2. My husband is stronger than me

We spoke to Jodie, a homemaker who had just picked her husband up from work and was on her way to pick up her 12 year old daughter from ballet classes. “There is a reason why men are considered to be the macho race. I like to think that my man is stronger than me and will protect me in times of need and fulfill all my needs, including shopping.” Grinning, she looked over to Tim, her husband and said, “If you asked me if men and women are equal, I’d say no because my man is the bread earner in the family. You will give me your credit card, won’t you honey?,” she said. Now that qualifies for an interesting point of view.

3. My boss is a woman

Nathan, a 53-year old high flying executive with a bank, says ‘yes’ with a firm nod. “I have been working for almost 35 years now. For all those who wonder if men and women are equal, they need to wake up and start living in the 21st century,” he said. We were glad we bumped into Nathan. “My boss is a woman. I wonder if the tables have turned and women have become the superior race,” he added jokingly. We really like this answer!
