9 Tips to Identify if a Family Member is into Drugs

6. Extremely defensive and sometimes very aggressive

A drug addict can yell at you for practically no reason at all. Drug addicts are extremely sensitive and they have erratic mood swings. Drugs can turn an upbeat and pleasant person into a hyper and easily excitable person. They make the addict lash out verbally and physically.

7. Behavioral changes

Drugs don’t just change a person’s eating habits to a great extent, but it also makes him/her to lose interest in looking good. Loss of pride in the personal appearance and hygiene is one of the major signs that this person is addicted to drugs. This person will change his/her companions and activities completely.

8. Poor performance at work

A drug addict will give a poor performance at work. If the suspect has changed the way of life completely and if this person spends very less time with the family and performs poorly at all tasks, then this could be a sign of a drug addict.

9. Spends alone time behind locked doors

Drug addicts are very conscious of who is entering in their room. They usually lock themselves in their room to find solace. They obviously have to lock the door for taking drugs. So, if one of your family members often locks the door of his/her room and doesn’t give a convincing answer for that, then this person may be on drugs.
