Chatting with people who make you laugh or make you think, will help you keep the grogginess away post-lunch. In the office, you can keep your work-related discussions scheduled for after you have your lunch.

7. Sleep properly

Your feeling drowsy may have nothing to do with food at all. If you do not have a proper sleep cycle then irrespective of what you eat, you will start feeling sleeping towards noon. Sleep deprivation can lead to a number of problems, including lack of concentration and more.

8. Exercise

If you make it a point to exercise in the morning, then you will be able to keep post-lunch sleepiness at bay. Having a proper exercise routine will improve your blood circulation and keep you active. So try to incorporate walking, jogging or cycling in the morning. If you are off to work, make sure you do not indulge in any exercise that will leave you too exhausted.

9. Have a lively office space

Sometimes the way you maintain your office space can add to your drowsiness. Try using bright colors when decorating your space. You could add pictures of your loved ones, some plants, full-spectrum fluorescent tubes, etc. This works even if you have documents and books to read in your home-office.
