8 Tips To Make A Good Resume

5. Talk about your achievements

When writing a resume, write about your achievements and not the responsibilities that you’re handling in your current job.

6. Jargons and slang

Do not use heavy and dense jargons to prove your vocabulary. Also avoid slang language because a resume is expected to be formal. No employer would like to sit with a dictionary to understand your jargons, neither will they appreciate your ‘friendly’ attitude that is denoted by your informal language.

7. Put the most important information first

Write the most important information on the top. Many times, it happens that due to lack of time, employers do not go through your complete resume, and that is especially when they do not find important information in the very beginning. Hence, do write important information in the beginning and the least important at the end.

8. Avoid lies

It might seem something very ‘obvious’ but it is obviously not. Many people tend to lie in their resumes which is morally as well as professionally wrong. Companies do a background check of the employee they are planning to appoint. So, instead of putting yourself in an awkward situation, be honest.

There are also a few other things to take into consideration like using a good quality printer and paper. Also, make sure you proof read your resume at least twice before submission.
