2. Tyson Beckford
The only black male model to have achieved the supermodel status is unarguably Tyson. This American guy has a body to die for which could probably be attributed to his Jamaican descent. Ralph Lauren hired him in 1993 to represent his Polo Sport line exclusively. He has been on the covers of Paper and Essence and has had several page spreads in GQ, Vogue, Details and the New York Times.

3. Mark Vanderloo
That Dutch people are born beautiful is a universal fact and the country is full of good looking people. Vanderloo was just one among the many blessed with superior genes but he put them to good use with his ripped body and tall frame of 6'2" by becoming an international supermodel. He is supposedly the highest paid model in the world and has achieved a feat which no other male model has achieved so far; landing three different campaigns in 12 weeks, namely Hugo Boss, DKNY and Calvin Klein.

But these jobs were the humble beginnings of this supermodel who realized in the early 90s that modeling was his true calling. Besides walking on countless international fashion runways, he has modeled for campaigns of high end brands like Tommy Hilfiger, Boss, Byblos and Ray Ban.
