Death is inevitable and expected. After all, no one has come on earth to live forever. In spite of knowing this fact, death when comes, tends to be like a rude shock in the face, as if it were something we least expected. When it comes to one of our favorite celebrities, it feels like one of our own person has gone. When we are really attached to a particular celebrity for whatever reason, we wish the best for them, always. Although we don’t really know them personally, we share an emotional connection with them. Here are a few shocking celebrity deaths that shook the whole industry and a little part of us too when they took place. There were millions around the globe who, with moist eyes, waved a final goodbye to their favorite celebrities. Today, let us together specially remember each one of them.
1. Steve Jobs
Pioneering technology expert or the man, who gave a whole new meaning to the word 'Apple', passed away a few weeks ago. Steve breathed his last at his California house at about 3 pm on 5th October, 2011 because of the relapse of his islet-cell neuroendocrine pancreatic cancer. "I was at work when I heard about Mr. Jobs, shocking death. I just couldn't believe it. I don't know why but it felt like I had lost a friend!", stated by Mario Brown, a sole proprietor of an IT company. For him Steve was an mentor or a fatherly figure, more than that he was a role model. He was someone who Mario looked up to. So when Mario came to know that the man who he admired so much was no more, his grief was completely justified. Mario is not the only one. But there are millions round the world who felt exactly the same when they heard the news of the death of this legend.

2. Princess Diana
Conspiracy theories surrounded the demise of the beautiful Princess of Wales. She was the first wife of Prince Charles. Her wedding with the Prince was a day that was considered a historical event. It was all over the news. She was someone whom people looked up to and admired. Besides being naturally beautiful, she also had a heart of gold. Her works of charity and philanthropy are worth talking about. However, this fairytale romance met a very sad ending. Trouble came in their marriage in the form of Prince Charles's ex-lover. Her marriage with Prince Charles ended in a shocking divorce that created great media frenzy. Soon after a year on 31st August, 1997, she got killed in a horrific car accident with her boyfriend, Dodi Fayed in Paris while she was trying to run away from the paparazzi. Millions of people worldwide watched her funeral with pain in their heart. Post her death, the initial French judicial investigation came to the conclusion that the accident was caused due to the driver's loss of control because of excess alcohol consumption.

3. Amy Winehouse
This soul singer was found dead at her London home on 23rd July, 2011. There were reports by a police officer that he found empty bottles of vodka scattered all over her bedroom when her body was discovered. The reason for her untimely death was found to be drug overdose. A report released on 26th October 2011, stated that Amy's blood alcohol content was found to be five times the average legal drink and drive limit. Her death too created huge media attention. A lot about her past was exposed soon after her death. Apparently, Winehouse had battled her alcohol and drug addiction for a very long time. Along with millions of her fans around the world, artists like Nicki Minaj, Adele, Kelly Clarkson, Keisha Buchanan, Rihanna, U2, Lady Gaga and Courtney Love paid their last tribute to this accomplished singer. Post her death, Amy's parents have expressed their deep desire to set up a foundation in Amy's name to assist those who are affected by drugs.

4. Heath Ledger
Heath Ledger had it all- good looks, incredible talent and a blooming career. However, unfortunately he too met with an untimely death at the young age of 28, and at the peak of his career. On the fateful day, the 22nd of January 2008, Ledger was found lying unconscious by his housekeeper and his masseuse at his apartment in Manhattan. Minutes after his death, his story was all over the news. The reason for his death was found to be an accidental overdose of prescription drugs including sleeping pills, painkillers and anti-anxiety medicines. This star was well-known for his role in successful movies like 10 Things I Hate About You and Brokeback Mountain. His role as the 'Joker' received immense appreciation from all those who watched the movie, Batman Returns. Unfortunately, Heath wasn't alive to taste the fruit of this success.

5. Steve Irwin
The Crocodile Hunter, as he was fondly called, was mostly known as the popular host of an internationally broadcast wildlife documentary series. He hosted this successful documentary series along with his wife Terri. Steve and his love for crocodiles was clearly shown all throughout the show. He, along with his wife, nearly spent his whole honeymoon trapping crocodiles. On one extremely unfortunate day, the 4th of September 2006, Irwin got accidentally pierced on his chest by a stingray spine while he was snorkeling. This resulted in his death. Prior to his death, reportedly Steve used to have premonitions that he was going to die before the age of 40.

6. Kurt Cobain
Kurt Cobain was most known for his creation of grunge music as the lead singer of the band, Nirvana. With every song, Kurt managed to get the sweet taste of success as a prize for all of his hard work. Kurt's fans were extremely in love with him and his music. His introduction of grunge music gave way to many new bands to enter the Emerald City. However, his amazing success story also met a sad ending when on 5th April 1994, this singer was found dead at his Lake Washington house. Even more shocking was that the cause of his death was suicide where he shot himself with a gun.

7. Elvis Presley
Elvis was often cited as the "King of Rock and Roll" or just "the King". His name was one of the most popular ones in the 20th century. During the few years of his career, he created a brand new and fresh legacy for himself in the world of music. His good looks and physical attractiveness made him extremely loveable, especially among women. Steve Binder once stated that Elvis was so handsome that whether you are a man or a woman, you would stop to look at him. On 16th August 1977, Elvis was found dead on the bathroom floor of his home in Graceland. The world was stunned by the death of this legend. Even today, parties are incomplete without his songs, such was his impact!

8. Michael Jackson
Last but not the least, the death of The King of Pop was one of the most horrible days in his fan's lives. In spite of the series of conspiracies that followed Michael, his fans still adored him. They respected him and trusted in him. Following his death which took place on 25th June 2009, due to a sudden cardiac arrest caused because of an overdose of prescription drugs, many rumors began circulating. One of them was that Michael actually faked his death in order to escape bankruptcy. However as false as these rumors were, every fan of Michael wished that they were true. Along with the death of Michael also died the man who was the reason for which many people fell in love with music.
