7 Ways to Handle a Work Setback

5. Talk to your boss

And find out why someone else was chosen over you. Ask your boss on places where you can improve and things you should do better to be considered for a promotion next time it comes up.

6. Wait till you get home to react

You may want to cry or break a few things. But wait till you get back home to do it. You don’t want to be seen as a loser or a crybaby in your workplace.

7. Vent out your frustrations

But do it with your family or you friends. Do not talk about your setback while in office and don’t ever discuss it with your colleagues.
Do not let it bog you down. There is so much more to life than a setback at work. Take a few days off if it really hurts. Look for a new job if you feel you can’t really take it and if you think you have been unjustly treated. Mostly brush it off, life is too short to be spent worrying about your work all the time.
