5. Atkins diet

The Atkins diet is a favorite among celebs like Renee Zellweger and Jennifer Aniston.
The basic theory it follows is that if carbohydrates are restricted, the body turns to fat to burn as its main energy source, thus resulting in a rapid and dramatic weight loss.
